Recycling Revenue for the Township has Increased
Due to a number of reasons, including stronger participation by our residents plus the single streaming of recyclables, the amount that the township has gained thus far this year is $37,000, and counting, as compared to $17,500 for the entire year of 2010. Great work on everyone's part.
WE CAN HELP YOU FIND HOW AND WHERE TO DISPOSE OF RECYCLABLE MATERIAL, SUCH AS BULK, HAZARDOUS, LARGE, ETC.

Drug Collection Unit
A drug collection unit is now in the lobby of the Police Department. You may deposit any drugs you wish to dispose of. These drugs can be deposited into the collection unit on weekdays, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. This unit is sponsored by the Feasterville Rotary Club and the Southeast Council on Drug and Alcohol Dependence.
Recovered Bicycles
If you have reported a lost or stolen bicycle over the last year, it may have been recovered by the Police Department. You can contact Detective Hearn at 215-357-1235 x338, to review the description of your bike.
New Township Flood Maps Now Available
The township has the new flood maps and they outline over the new flood zone in RED, the area of the old flood zone map. This makes it easier to see what was and what will be.
These flood maps are in the Township Office for review and the public is welcome to come into the Zoning Office and review them. You should be able to see the new flood zone and compare it to the previous flood zone.
They will also be available at the Board of Supervisor's meetings on February 24th and March 9th.
FLOOD MAPS AND INSURANCE
FEMA will be adopting a NEW Flood Map sometime around Nov. 2012. Right now your insurance company still recognizes the old FEMA Flood Map. We have copies of the new proposed maps in the office with an overlay of the old Flood Area. The flood area has shifted and some people who were in could very well be out and due to the shift new folks are now be in the Flood Area.
If you obtain Flood Insurance before the maps are adopted, you will pay the lesser amount and that amount will stay with your property as long as the premium payment is uninterrupted. When you re-mortgage, reverse mortgage, get a home equity loan, or even sell your home, the insurance premium will stay at the lower rate as long as it was paid.
If you go to www.floodsmart.gov/floodsmart/floodsmart/oneStepFloodRiskAddressSearch.action go to the right hand red box and type in your address, town, and zip code hit go they will tell you if you are low or high risk.
We will update information at this site as we learn more and are able to pass it onto you. You may call this office and we will try and help you as well.
