CODE OF ORDINANCES
The Code of Ordinances are the rules we have to govern ourselves. You can view them directly below by clicking on the Ordinances, or the Resolutions Adopted. Please be patient - they are large files and they take a little time to download.
It is a large file so be patient.

Reminder of some rules and regulations.
1. All sidewalks must be cleared within 12 hours after the snow stops. This includes businesses as well. A business is not permitted to block a sidewalk when they clear their parking lots. No one is permitted to deposit their snow into the street.
2. Permits are required for all dumpsters and the new POD type storage units, even if they are used only for a short period of time. The permit is for a specific period of time and then the unit must be removed.
3. For all you dog/animal owners, a reminder that a barking dog or noisy animal can sometimes be a nuisance to someone who does not share your fondness for the animal. We no longer have to prove a consistent 10 minutes of barking to enforce the ordinance. It is up to the owner to have complete control of the animal.
4. The Zoning Department will be enforcing an Ordinance that all properties must have a minimum of 4 inch numbers in front of the property/house for identification especially for emergency vehicles
Drinking Water Safety
There has been a change in the administration of safe drinking water. The Bucks County Department of Health is no longer ensuring compliance and performing monitoring on drinking
water. It is now the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection. So the point of all this is, if you get any complaints about drinking water in lower Southampton, you may
refer them to their Complaint Service Representative, Ms. JoAnn Ache at 484-250-5991 or on www.dep.state.pa.us.
Please note that this does not include drinking wells, that is still covered by the Bucks County Department of Health.
If anyone has any further questions, PADEP has provided us with an alternate phone number 484-250-5980 to answer any other questions.
